Our 71 Year Story

The foundation for today’s İnci Holding was laid in 1952 when Cevdet İnci founded İncitaş. In 1968, through hard work, dedication and resolve, he paved the way for an unimaginably large-scale wheel manufacture facility for the time.

Cevdet İnci founded İncitaş, where he traded tires and automotive spare parts.

Wheel rim production kicked off with rim hubs produced with a large press at Jant Sanayi Adi Komandit Şirketi. By the middle of 1968, the company had advanced to a stage where it could manufacture both wheel rims and rim hubs.

With the healthy growth of production, JANTAŞ company, one of the first milestones of the wheel industry, emerged. In 1979, JANTAŞ got its first patent. Thanks to high-quality standards and the continuing growth trend, export operations began in the same year.

İncitaş, İnci Sigorta and Jantaş merged to form İnci Holding.

The success of wheel production encouraged the group to invest in the production of accumulators, which is considered a key development area. "İNCİ (pearl)", a word with great significance and value for the family, was chosen as the brand name of the battery to be produced. The World's Energy Expert İnci Akü was established in Manisa OIZ.

Cevdet İnci Education Foundation was established by Cevdet İnci in 1985 with the principle of "Supporting Education, Serving the Future" to contribute to the educational efforts of our country to reach the level of contemporary civilization.

Jantaş went into partnership with the German Lemmerz Group, one of the leading global players in the industry, in 1992.

With the acquisition of the European leader Lemmerz by Hayes, the global leader in wheel production, Turkey became a global manufacturing hub for high-quality wheel rims.

The growing needs of the holding lead to the foundation of İnci Logistics.

ISM Minibar shares were fully acquired.

The Chairmanship of the Board of Directors was passed to the 2nd generation.

Following the partnership with Brazilian Maxion Wheels, the names of our organizations were updated to Maxion Jantaş and Maxion İnci.

İnci Academy was established under Cevdet İnci Education Foundation.

Founded by Inci Holding shareholders in 2013, İnci Family Office was established to clearly define family and business roles, and to contribute to Turkey by providing a prominent step towards better governance and management of family assets.

İnci Logistics went into partnership with the global Japanese giant Yusen Logistics and took the name Yusen İnci Lojistik.

İnci Akü went into partnership with GS Yuasa and currently operates under the title of İnci GS Yuasa.

The Chairmanship of the Board of Directors passed to the 3rd generation.

Vinci was established as a venture capital company where İnci Holding is a strategic investor.

Rhombus, the first foreign direct investment of İnci Holding, was acquired by BorgWarner in 2022.

First Sustainability Report released.

AZKarbon, a digital marketplace platform, joins the organizations.
