İnci GS Yuasa, a subsidiary of İnci Holding, a prominent player in Türkiye’s automotive supply industry, and the global battery giant GS Yuasa from Japan, received the Golden Export Award for the second year in a row at the Champions of Export 2023 Award Ceremony. The award was presented by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OİB) in honor of the company’s outstanding achievements in exports and its leading role in innovation and technology within the sector.

At the award ceremony held on September 14, Hasan Kızılkaya, İnci GS Yuasa International Sales Manager, received the award on behalf of İnci GS Yuasa, which established Türkiye’s first R&D center in its industry, and exports from Manisa to over 80 countries across six continents.  

İnci GS Yuasa boasts three manufacturing facilities in Manisa and employs around 1,000 individuals. The company’s annual production capacity stands at 7 million automotive batteries and 700,000 industrial battery cells. Since 2005, İnci GS Yuasa has consistently secured a position in the “Top 1,000 Exporters” ranking, which is published annually by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, highlighting its role as a technology leader in the industry. 

“Over 60 percent of our total sales revenue is generated through exports”

Cihan Elbirlik, Deputy Chairman of the Board of İnci GS Yuasa, emphasized that over 60 percent of their total sales revenue was generated through exports in 2022 and said, “We design and manufacture products with the most advanced technologies, leveraging the 100 years of deep-rooted experience of our Japanese partner, GS Yuasa. Being at the forefront of innovation and technology in our industry, we are continuously expanding our global sales and service network with the innovative products and services we create. Consequently, İnci GS Yuasa is responsible for one-third of all battery exports to Europe today. We take pride in receiving the ‘Golden Export’ award from OİB, a highly respected institution in our industry, in recognition of our substantial export volume.
