The inaugural Best Managed Companies award ceremony was held to evaluate management performances of Turkish companies within the framework of international best practices. The programme was the result of a two-phase selection system, and the jury comprising Ali Sabancı, Ebru Özdemir, Emre Zorlu, Hamdi Akın, Hanzade Doğan Boyner, Lucien Arkas, Ömür Tan, Ümran İnan, and Ümit Boyner was presided by Ali Koç. Its success stories and contribution to country’s economy took ISM Minibar A.Ş, an İnci Holding company that manufactures hotel equipment, to the winners list on Best Managed Companies in Turkey.

Şencan: ‘We are a global brand in our sector.’

Speaking at the award ceremony held on 26 November 2018 under the sponsorship of QNB Finansbank and a partnership of Koç University, TAİDER and Turkey Auditing Institute at Çırağan Palace, ISM Director General Niyazi Şencan said, ‘We are delighted to receive this award as a subsidiary of İnci Holding, which has been creating added value to the Turkish economy for 66 years. Despite being a family business, our company is a global brand in its sector through a successful blend of professional management tools with the traditional structure of a family business. Within this context, I consider this award as a reflection of our intense endeavour performed at management level. Conferred as it is by a jury featuring such luminaries of the Turkish business world, this award means a great deal.’

Şencan continued, ‘The most exciting part of this award to my team and me is taking place in this group, and having the opportunity to work with companies in other countries where Best Managed Companies is organised. That is a very promising prospect for us. We are due to accelerate our work on new products and branding through the new design centre scheduled for this year. We also plan to play a leading role in expanding the horizons of the sector with our digital transformation projects. To this end, we are in the process of evaluating a number of investment opportunities at home and abroad in line with İnci Holding’s main strategy. We have much to do in light of our 2023 vision: The future is ours.’
