The Baton Passes to the Third Generation at İnci Holding

24 Aralık 2015

A new era in İnci Holding... Having completed three years as President and Chairwoman of Board of Directors, Perihan İnci handed over to Neşe Gök, the first representative of the third generation in a special ceremony. Neşe Gök, who had been serving as a member of the İnci Holding Board of Directors for eight years now takes over as President and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.

İnci Holding held its traditional New Year’s party at the Izmir Tepekule Congress Centre. In her opening speech Perihan İnci said, ‘Our father entrusted us in the second generation with İnci Holding and our prestige. We have constructed a solid building on top this foundation. Now we hand over the title deed to the third generation.’

After her speech, Perihan İnci handed over to Neşe Gök in the presence of the İnci family and its cheering employees. Addressing the guests in her inaugural speech as President and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of İnci Holding, Neşe Gök said, ‘Today, I am here as a part of the story of the evolution of a modest business founded from scratch by my grandfather Cevdet İnci into a holding in 63 years, one whose name is well known in the global automotive industry. This is a story with a woman on every single line. I am aware of the historic responsibility I take today as the first third-generation president of İnci Holding. I am also aware that I am very lucky. Firstly, I’ve had the opportunity to work with my grandfather Cevdet İnci, and secondly, I am supported today by every second generation president, the managers who steered this ship through many a violent storm into a safe harbour throughout my 20 years at İnci Holding – eight years of which were spent as a board member.’

Pointing out the Holding’s average growth rate of 15% in the last decade, and the firm steps taken towards the goals for 2023, Gök drew attention to valuable and powerful partnerships: ‘We are continuing to grow and improve with our strong global leader partners in their sectors; Brazilian Maxion in wheels, Japanese GS YUASA in batteries, Japanese Yusen in logistics, and the Australian Brantner Group in waste management. For years, we have managed successful partnerships with American, German, French and Italian companies. Now, we are an expert on being a reliable partner to global companies.’

Neşe Gök added, ‘I am thrilled, delighted, proud, and above all, humbled to be taking over this position. I wholeheartedly believe that together we will succeed, thanks to strength I derive from the İnci Holding culture. Hoping for a safe journey and a trailing wind, full speed ahead!’
