Toyota Europe Quality Award for Maxion İnci Steel

Maxion İnci Steel, one of the top wheel suppliers to the global automotive industry, won a prize from a major OEM customer: Toyota Europe. During the Annual Suppliers Meeting held in Brussels on 19 March 2013, a success award recognised Maxion Steel’s 2012 quality performance. Maxion İnci, which was established in 1992 and has a total production capacity of 4.7 million steel wheels, shipped five millions wheels to Toyota between 1997-2012. HL İnci Çelik plans to ship 200,000 wheels to Toyota’s Adapazarı Plant in 2013, and is currently the steel wheel plant with the highest production capacity. Maxion İnci Steel also ships wheels to Audi’s Neckarsülm, Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg plants in Germany, and qualifies for an Audi Quality Award with its performance in 2012.

 

Maxion İnci Steel, a joint venture between İnci Holding, leader of the Turkish wheel industry, and the world’s largest wheel manufacturer Maxion Wheels Group, wins a success award thanks to its 2012 performance in quality. Maxion İnci Steel received the prize during the Annual Suppliers Meeting, which was attended by all Toyota suppliers from the United Kingdom, France and Turkey. Held at Toyota’s headquarters in Brussels, the meeting evaluated the results of 2012 as well as allowed for a discussion of supplier expectations for 2013. Toyota also rewarded successful suppliers of 2012. Maxion İnci Steel, a previous winner in Project Management, won the Quality Award with its 2012 production performance. Exporting steel wheels to major OEM customers in five continents, Maxion İnci Steel maintains its position as leader in the sector. It also boasts of the only steel wheel plant in the world capable of manufacturing with the widest dimension range in one site, for both passenger and light commercial vehicles.

 

As one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world and an OEM renowned worldwide for its quality philosophy, Toyota’s prize highlights Maxion İnci Steel’s success.

 

Chairman of the Board of Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş Mustafa Zaim said, ‘This award from Toyota, our OEM customer and a Japanese manufacturer whose uncompromising emphasis on quality is famous across the world, testifies to the soundness of the steps we are taking in matters of quality.’ He added, ‘We have been working with Toyota’s Adapazarı Plant since 1997 as Maxion İnci. We also supply Toyota plants in the UK and South Africa from our facility located in Manisa Industrial Park. The total number of wheels we have shipped to Toyota plants between 1997-2012 has exceeded five million. Again, we are planning to ship 200,000 wheels to Toyota’s Adapazarı Plant, a customer we have worked with since 1997 as a single sheet wheel supplier.’

 

Maxion İnci wins one more Quality Award, this time from Audi…

 

Maxion İnci’s 2012 performance won Audi’s Quality Award. Having shipped 2.3 million wheels to Audi since 2001, the company’s current year target is 600,000. Maxion İnci also ships wheels to Audi’s Neckarsülm, Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg plants in Germany.
